If the adult world is their environment, they are very 
much anti-environment, yes. They are very much 
aware of the adult world, and its implications, its 
boundaries, its ground rules, and they are very 
much aware of themselves as the content of that 
world. And they just won’t accept the idea that 
they are classified somehow or other outside of it, 
that they don’t really belong to it.
